Game updates, live score in college football

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Auburn football is back from its bye and hopes to end its three-game losing streak when it travels to No. 16 Missouri to open Week 8 of the 2024 college football season.

Auburn coach Hugh Freeze will lead his team in an SEC road game. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. CT (ESPN/ESPN+) from Faurot Field at Memorial Stadium in Columbia, Missouri.

Auburn (2-3, 0-2 SEC) is two weeks removed from a 31-13 loss at No. 4 Georgia. Quarterback Payton Thorne threw for 200 yards, leading an offense that didn't turn the ball over for the first time this season.

Mizzou (5-1, 1-1 SEC) bounced back from its 41-10 loss to Texas A&M with a 45-3 win at UMass last week. Missouri's star wide receiver Luther Burden III left the game with a shoulder injury but was not listed on the SEC availability report Thursday night, so he will be active for Saturday's game.
