Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix revives the game's previous map with artist takeovers

Fortnite players expect post-Halloween surprises every week this month. The game brings back its Chapter 2 map, last seen in 2021, but is launching it with a remix touch that will see music artists take over portions of the map throughout November.

Announced by Epic Games during an event in Times Square on Friday, the event begins today with the first week of Snoop Dogg's takeover, including the transformation of an area formerly known as “The Agency” into “The Dogg Pound.” The takeover will also extend to weapons, with the Boogie Bomb item playing “Drop It Like It's Hot.” Snoop Dogg will also be the featured artist at Fortnite Festival, the platform's rhythm game mode.

The second week will feature Eminem, with the rapper sporting a similar look to his “Houdini” music video. A Mom's Spaghetti restaurant, which references the famous line in the artist's song “Lose Yourself” and itself became a restaurant in Detroit, Michigan, will also be added to the menu.

And the event's final week will feature a guest appearance by the late Jared “Juice WRLD” Higgins, with Epic mentioning that they worked with the artist's estate and mother to create the experience, which will be unveiled later in the month. Players who log in to the game's finale on November 30th will receive a free cel-shaded outfit commemorating Higgins.
