US Election Day is here and in just a few hours Americans will go to the polls to elect a new president. The competition is neck-and-neck, and the two challengers could hardly be more different in their ideological orientation and on many political fronts.

With different views on tariffs, global alliances and other foreign policy issues, Vice President Kamala Harristhe Democratic and Republican former presidents Donald Trump will bring new challenges and opportunities to world policymakers.
