Kamala Harris reveals her passion for Formula 1 and names her favorite driver

Lando Norris beat his rival Max Verstappen to take pole position for the US Grand Prix and realize his dream of the F1 championship.

Verstappen took his first victory in almost four months when he led every lap of the sprint race at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin earlier on Saturday, extending his title lead from 52 to 54 points.

Norris finished third – after being overtaken by Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz on the final lap – but recovered in qualifying to take the spot, beating Verstappen by just 0.031 seconds.

Norris set the pace early in the shootout for pole and was then lucky when George Russell crashed his Mercedes in the penultimate corner.

Max Verstappen speaks on the way to the start:

“In the last few races we had problems with race speed. The sprint seems much better, let's see if it's the same at full throttle.

“If you are fast in a sprint, that should normally be repeated in the main race. We have to be a little careful, but I’m hopeful.”
