Elon Musk “jokes” in a church that someone killed Kamala Harris

Elon Musk keeps trying to keep up his “joke” about the assassination of Vice President Kamala Harris. Over the weekend, Musk remarked again that “no one is even bothering to try to kill Kamala” – while speaking at a House of God.

As Donald Trump's surrogate — in addition to being the $75 million money man behind a leading Trump Super PAC — Musk spoke Saturday night at the Life Center megachurch in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, known for supporting the career of the Christian supremacist and God-Rockers Sean Feucht brought it to life.

The event caused a stir because of Musk's promised monetary donation. He has promised a $1 million daily sweepstakes for registered swing state voters who sign his super PAC's petition in support of the First and Second Amendments over free speech and gun access. “The Second Amendment,” Musk emphasized, “is there to protect the First Amendment.”

But Musk also used the pro-gun rally to spread – at least for the third time – his “joke” about someone carrying out an assassination attempt on Trump's rival and sitting Vice President Harris.

Musk's “joke” is steeped in a conspiracy theory that Washington is controlled by what he called “the single party” or “the machine,” which he darkly – and without evidence – links to the recent assassination attempts on Trump.

“I just call it the machine, the big government machine,” Musk told attendees at his church rally. “And when the Biden puppet didn’t work, they got a new puppet. But it's obviously still the same machine,” he added, as Harris topped the list, replacing President Joe Biden. Musk then claimed that Trump's return to the White House is “the thing that scares the system” because “Donald Trump is not a puppet, he's a real person,” adding darkly, “That's why they're trying… to kill him.” ”

At that time, Musk repeated his joke about the vice president's death. “I mentioned as a joke — I meant it as a joke — that no one is bothering to try to kill Kamala,” Musk said. “Because it makes no sense. It doesn't make any sense. (They would) just get another doll, you know.” The billionaire hastened to add: “I'm not suggesting that anyone should try to kill her. It's pointless! I'm just making an observation. It didn't bother anyone. Why is that? Because it doesn't matter. Yes? Murdering a puppet is pointless.”

This is at least the third time that the world's richest man – whose billions come largely from his role as a government contractor – has tried to bring this “joke” to a global audience. The first time was on his X platform, where Musk has 200 million followers. In response to the question of why “they want to kill Donald Trump”? Musk wrote in September, “And no one is even trying to assassinate Biden/Kamala 🤔.” (Musk deleted his post after backlash and wrote, “One lesson I learned is that just because I say something to a group say and they laugh, it won't be as funny as a post on X.”)

Although his words caught the attention of the Secret Service, Musk later revived the murder joke in a one-on-one interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who streams on X. “I made a joke that I realize I deleted. “That means no one bothers to kill Kamala because it’s pointless,” Musk said. (Carlson deflected with a polite smile and said, “Absolutely right,” before asking, “You actually posted that?”)

Saturday's Harrisburg event at the megachurch had just a few hundred live viewers but was broadcast live on X to more than a million online viewers. After delivering his attempt at humor, Musk laughed evilly and grinned for five seconds before awkwardly adding, “So. Yes.”

The audience of Trumpy Musk stans gathered in this house of God finally gave the childish billionaire the reaction they felt the “joke” deserved. They burst into joyful roars as if they had just seen a Space X rocket return to Earth – without exploding.
