The meeting point is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. ET (ACC Network). The Phoenix are expected to finish at the bottom of the table in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) for the 2024-25 season. Elon won 13 games and G last season TK Simpkins is a quality assessment option. C Matt Van Komen strengthens the frontcourt, but the rest of the squad is rather inexperienced.

The Tar Heels have a National Player of the Year candidate in G RJ Davisand like their rivals at Duke, UNC had a pretty solid recruiting class. G Ian Jackson will make an immediate impact and the team brings a big squad into F Ven Allen Lubin from Vanderbilt to strengthen the forecourt.

You obviously can't play North Carolina (-20000) directly or as part of a multigame. A $100 bet would return a profit of just 50 cents.

AVOID.

Against the spread

NORTH CAROLINA -27.5 (-120) is a national title contender, while Elon +27.5 (-102) will struggle in the CAA. The Phoenix won't be okay anymore, and they'll be glad when this is over, the bus gets moving again, and they can return to Alamance County to regroup.

Think of it as a No. 1 seed playing against a No. 16 seed who won a play-in game. This will be a mismatch, and Elon simply doesn't have nearly the size to compete.

Over/Under

OVER 151.5 (-110) is the lean option, but you should only play half a unit at most.

It wouldn't be surprising to see Carolina approaching triple digits, if not breaking the hundred mark.

Elon won't be able to contribute much to the overall result, but maybe he doesn't have to.
