Election Day 2024 has come and gone, and NBC News is predicting that Donald Trump is now the president-elect after key victories in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin were announced early Wednesday. Republicans have also taken control of the U.S. Senate, NBC News suggests, boosted by victories in West Virginia and Ohio. But the results are still too close to name some key races that will determine the balance of power in the House of Representatives.

Vice President Kamala Harris, who lost her bid to become the country's first female president, won five of New England's six states, with only Maine topping as of Wednesday morning.
