Early voting turnout in Montgomery County is 1.8% above 2020 and 39.3% above 2016

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Early voter turnout in Montgomery County was 1.8% higher than the 2020 total. When counting nursing home and mail-in ballots, 50,393 Montgomery County voters cast theirs within 10 days of early voting Vote, compared to 49,509 in 2020 when Joe Biden defeated Donald Trump.

Local voter turnout was much higher than in 2016 (when Trump defeated Hillary Clinton), reaching 39.3% that year.

Statewide, voter turnout was slightly lower than in 2020: 2.9% less than 2016, but 32.2% more than 2016, according to Tennessee Department of State records.

Here are the daily early voting totals in Montgomery County to date, with about 4,500 people voting daily in the last week, when voting began at the Outlaw Field and Richellen Park locations:
