A division rivalry won't stop Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley from praising his old team's stars.

Barkley reposted wide receiver Malik Nabers' message to New York Giants fans after Sunday's 21-15 win over the Cleveland Browns, saying the rookie was “SO!!”

Nabers caught eight passes for 78 yards and scored two touchdowns against Cleveland, almost single-handedly outscoring the Browns and continuing a strong start for the No. 6 pick, who ranks fifth in the NFL in average receiving yards (90.3 per game).

In addition, Nabers is already putting together a number of highlights that suggest he could be an elite wideout in the coming years.

Barkley's praise is deserved and no different from what many people say.

However, the two-time Pro Bowler was expected to abandon his sympathy for the Giants, for whom he played for six seasons, when he signed with the Eagles. Even his offseason departure is still a little shaky, so speaking positively about Giants players isn't going to build a good reputation in the Big Apple.

Philly and New York meet for the first time this year in Week 7. Perhaps Barkley is trying to disarm Nabers with flattery in the hopes that he doesn't set the Eagles' secondary on fire.
