NEW ORLEANS – Eagles receiver DeVonta Smith took a hard hit in the fourth quarter on Sunday and left the field after a few scary minutes.

Smith is out with a concussion.

He caught a pass for 5 yards and threw at the end of the game. Smith lay on the ground in the Superdome while the trainers ran onto the field. After a few minutes, Smith got up and left the field.

After a short stay in the blue medical tent, Smith entered the locker room.

It was a scary scene on the field as Nick Sirianni knelt next to Smith. AJ Brown, who missed this game with a hamstring injury, was able to visit his friend Smith in the blue tent before going inside.

Entering this game, the Eagles lost Britain Covey (shoulder), leaving the Eagles with just three wide receivers as they try to win in New Orleans: Jahan Dotson, Johnny Wilson and Parris Campbell.

On the play following Smith's injury, Saquon Barkley scored a 65-yard touchdown run that gave the Eagles their first lead of the game.
