“Draymond Green stirs the pot after Grant Williams blatantly attacks Jayson Tatum”

“Draymond Green stirs the pot after Grant Williams blatantly attacks Jayson Tatum”

Celtics fans may have changed their tune on Grant Williams after Friday night and may also have agreed with a famous Boston villain.

The final minutes of the C's 124-109 victory became hectic as Williams carried Jayson Tatum as the All-NBA star dribbled the ball down the court. Both the Celtics and Charlotte Hornets got in each other's faces and Williams was ejected from the game after being graded a blatant B.

Jaylen Brown took a shot at his former teammate, who claimed there was no ill intent in his foul on Tatum. Draymond Green didn't believe it.

“To tell Grant Williams it wasn’t intentional to foul JT like that is insane. And he’s smiling about it,” Green posted on X early Saturday morning.

It was ironic for the Golden State Warriors star to get involved as he has been involved in several incidents of a similar nature. You could spin it and interpret it since he is an expert in this field. He didn't waste his shot to attack Williams again.

“To think that a blindside hit 'on you' is a smile-worthy offense means one of two things,” Green said. “You have no consciousness, or you are an idiot…” And both make you an idiot… an idiot.”

Williams and Green have a strange relationship. The two repeatedly praised each other or made attacks on each other, and Williams even admitted that he tried to emulate his game that of the four-time NBA champion. Perhaps it was the pursuit of the championship that got Williams going against Boston.

“He's mad at JT about something lol,” Green said, along with a ring and shocked face emojis. “He should keep him in Boston lol. JT got a call and the guy vented his frustration about it.”

It's hard to believe that Williams has seen every social media post from the 2024 NBA Finals between the Celtics and Dallas Mavericks, two teams he played for before finishing the season with the Hornets. So Green could have a valid point, even if Boston fans might not want to believe it.

An obvious 2 is punishable by the NBA with a minimum fine of $2,000 and a possible suspension. The Celtics and Hornets meet again on Saturday at the Spectrum Center.
