Most obituaries published in the Reading Eagle are submitted by funeral homes and cremation services, but we also accept submissions from families. Obituaries may be emailed to [email protected].

In addition to the text of the obituary, you can also attach any photos you wish to this email. Please paste the text of the obituary into a Word document, a Google Doc, or the body of the email. The Reading Eagle also needs a way to verify death. Therefore, please provide either the telephone number of the funeral home or cremation service responsible for the care of the deceased or a photo of his/her death certificate. We also ask that your full name, phone number and address be included in this email.

All family payments must be made by credit card. Before we request payment, we will send you proof of the completed death notification. However, the obituary notice cannot run until we have received full payment.

Obituaries may be submitted for any future date but must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. the day before to be published.
