Detroit Pistons reveal starting lineup against Los Angeles Lakers

Shortly after battling the Brooklyn Nets, the Detroit Pistons face the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night for their second game in back-to-back sets.

On Sunday, the Pistons faced an up-and-coming Nets team while suffering a disappointing loss to the New York Knicks. Although things looked like things were heating up in Brooklyn, the Pistons managed to get back into the win column for the second time last week.

Cade Cunningham led the way with 19 points, six rebounds and five assists. Right behind him was Tobias Harris with 18 points, five rebounds and six assists. Overall, the Pistons spread their assets around on offense, with six players scoring in double figures.

After defeating the Nets on the road 106:92, they host the Lakers.

LA enters Monday night's matchup as one of the best teams in the Western Conference to start the year. They go into the duel with a record of 4:2.

Although the Lakers had some key starters on their injury report, they don't expect to miss players like Anthony Davis, Austin Reaves and D'Angelo Russell.

Detroit looks to snap a seven-game winning streak against the Lakers on Monday. In the last three years, the Pistons have been defeated in the two-game series. When the Pistons and Lakers met in Detroit last February, the Lakers defeated them 125-111. The Pistons are hoping their new-look roster will earn the team's first win against the Lakers since 2021.

The Pistons will continue to field the same lineup on Monday.

Even though the Pistons' record at 2-5 wasn't ideal to start the year, they were significantly more competitive than their overall ranking would suggest. They'll try to keep fighting their way back to .500.
