Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud saw a slight increase in the latest Madden NFL 25 ratings update, while the Dallas Cowboys' Dak Prescott and the New York Jets' Aaron Rodgers weren't as lucky.

This was the first update since Week 4. In his last two starts, Stroud threw for 523 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions while completing 69.6 percent of his passes. This improved his overall score by two points to 85. He recorded an increase in his alertness (86), his throws under pressure (88) and his accuracy on short throws (91).

Prescott (89 overall) and Rodgers (83 overall) each dropped a point. The latter saw a particularly significant decline in its awareness rating, which fell from 82 to 78.

Prescott wasn't the only Cowboys player to see his overall rating drop after a 47-9 win over the Detroit Lions. Right guard Zack Martin dropped two points (95 total) and cornerback Trevon Diggs dropped from 88 to 87.

The Week 6 update reflects that Derrick Henry has not calmed down yet. After a combined 224 yards and three straight wins, the Baltimore Ravens running back has 97 yards. Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers is the only running back with a higher player rating.

Like Henry, Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II (97 overall) and New York Jets defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence II (96 overall) also approached perfect ratings.

The Jets may now wish they had waited until the Madden update before acquiring Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders. Despite being unable to play due to a hamstring injury, the veteran wide receiver slipped from 94 to 92 overall.

Adams dropped three points each for release (94) and route running for intermediate throws (92) and deep throws (91).

The six-time Pro Bowler is on track to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night, so he may be able to get his Madden ratings back in the right direction.
