LARAMIE, Wyo. – In a preseason exhibition contest, the University of Wyoming Cowboys defeated the College of Idaho Coyotes 80-63. While it took a minute to get the ball rolling, the Pokes had a good chance to show what they were made of.

When the Cowboys first took the court, it was clear they needed a minute to find themselves. They turned the ball over quite a bit in the first half before finding their rhythm and running away with the lead.

After all, most of the faces on the pitch and on the bench will be unfamiliar to fans returning from last season. With a brand new head coach in Sundance Wicks and 11 new players on the roster – there is only room for 16 on the Cowboys bench – there is still a lot that is unknown about this Cowboys team.

The real test begins on Monday, November 4th when the Pokes take on Concordia University in St. Paul for their first game of the season. To see the Cowboys' entire basketball schedule, visit the University of Wyoming Athletics website.
