Could Myles Garrett see himself being traded? And his thoughts on fighting his long-time enemy Joe Burrow

Could Myles Garrett see himself being traded? And his thoughts on fighting his long-time enemy Joe Burrow

BEREA, Ohio – Myles Garrett has been around long enough to know that almost no one is safe in the NFL, not even the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

As he watched his friend and teammate Amari Cooper get traded to the Bills for a third-round pick and change this week, he was reminded that anything can happen with the Browns at 1-5.

“Sure, anyone could be next,” he said during his weekly availability. “I mean, if you lose, the door is open to everyone. So you have to figure out how to avoid losing your job or moving somewhere else. You have to prove that you've earned the right to be here, that you've earned the right to be on the field, that you've earned the right to hustle. It's just a privilege to be able to wear these colors. It's an honor and a privilege to be here and do this job every day, and if you don't, someone else will step in and take your place.

“That applies to everyone, including me. That's why we all need to get better, and I take that very seriously. I take it to heart and am with the boys to match my intensity.”
