The Kansas City Chiefs are undefeated, but far from flawless. According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Rams are considering moving on from Kupp and are even willing to eat up a good chunk of the money still owed him if they get a second-round pick in return. Despite Kansas City's performance in recent weeks, signing Kupp appears to be a potential grand slam for Brett Veach.

There are a few reasons not to get too excited about this pairing. Nate Taylor of The Athletic has suggested that Kansas City is not looking for veterans older than 30 on the trade market. He even explored the Rams as a trade partner, citing former Chief Demarcus Robinson as a more likely destination.

Even if the Chiefs bring in Kupp, they will be adding an older player who never had great speed at his peak. Combined with his injury history, optimism may be waning a bit. However, the switch to a Mahomes-led offense could be what Kupp needs to get back on track.

A second-round pick shouldn't worry the Chiefs, especially when they'll likely face the challenges of a much stronger and more experienced AFC. Even in his limited condition, Kupp would be the Chiefs' best receiver and a weapon that other defenses will need to plan around.
