Commanders HC calls for defense adjustments against Ravens

In the highly anticipated duel between the Washington Commanders and the Baltimore Ravens, the Commanders are having a hard time covering Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers. Commanders head coach Dan Quinn acknowledged the rookie's huge impact in turning the game around in the first half of the contest. “Yeah, that was the deal we knew and the running game was a big deal,” Quinn said, pointing to the Ravens’ effective offensive play against their defense. Flowers' ability to stretch the field and create plays was a headache for Washington in the first half. Quinn was aware of this threat and emphasized that his team needed to be more focused going forward.

“We need to be able to sharpen our heads and be explosive early on the screen,” Quinn stressed, pointing to the need for a more aggressive defensive strategy. By refining their game plan and shutting down Flowers effectively, the Commanders can get back into the swing of things early in the second half.

When the opportunity arose to start the second half with the ball, Quinn clearly expressed the urgency, saying, “We've got to find our way back.”

As the Commanders continue to contend with the Ravens' offense, they will need to combine strategic execution with the ability to contain playmakers like Flowers to ensure victory.
