As Columbus Day approaches, investors and market participants are preparing for a unique trading environment. This US holiday, observed on Monday, October 14, 2024, will see a mix of open and closed financial markets, impacting trading activity.

BAC, Abbott Laboratories DEPTAnd Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Ltd TSM. Additionally, key economic data, including unemployment claims, retail sales and housing starts, will provide insight into the current economic situation.

Price promotion: On Monday during premarket hours, at the time of writing, SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust SPY traded slightly higher, about 0.22% Invesco QQQ Trust, Series 1 QQQ rose 0.32%, according to Benzinga Pro.
