Horror film fans were warned about the level of “extreme violence and gore” ahead of Terrifier 3's screening.

The spooky sequel is scheduled to be released on October 11th. Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) is going to ruin Christmas for all of us by turning into a scary Santa Claus.

Cinemas are taking matters into their own hands ahead of the premiere and warning audiences – after vomiting and fainting occurred at the 2022 premiere.

On Twitter, the official Terrifier account shared an image of a message displayed at a preview screening in the UK, alerting viewers to staff if they need first aid at any time.

“This film contains extreme violence and excessive gore,” it said. “If you feel unwell, please see a member of staff. “Staff trained in first aid are on site.”

Alongside the image, the account added: “Don't say we didn't warn you…”

The warning did little to deter potential viewers, as they flocked to share their excitement about the release.

JaseInvader cheered, “When you see this outside of your theater, you know you're in for a good time.”

Robbie wrote: “Guys I'm really so excited for this movie.”

“Ohohoho, that makes me even more excited,” Vi agreed.

As Squirrel shared, “Well, now I want to see this movie even more intensely.”

Luckily, we don't have to wait too long as Terrifier 3 hits theaters in October, just in time for Halloween.

However, the evening wasn't exactly an enjoyable one for some people at the screening, as many left the screening before the credits rolled.

Signature Entertainment quoted the Terrifier account's tweet and added, “Thank you to everyone who attended the Terrifier 3 gala last night.”

“Venue staff reported that 11 people left the room and 1 person vomited. If you are affected by the #Terrifier3 event, please let us know if you need further assistance at this time.'

Director Damien Leone created the infamous monochrome clown in his 2008 short film The 9th Circle, which would lead to Art terrorizing the screen nearly a decade later.

The first Terrifier film was released in cinemas in 2016, and the hugely popular sequel was released just two years ago.

Art the Clown is out for blood again in the third installment and will ensure that Sienna Shaw (Lauren LaVera) has a Christmas to remember, years after she escaped his clutches.

In the spooky teaser, he was seen dressed as Santa Claus as he surprised a couple getting hot and heavy in the shower, breaking glass and wielding a giant chainsaw – reminiscent of Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho.

Terrifier 3 hits theaters on October 11th.
