Call on Governor Parson to prevent the execution of Marcellus Williams on September 24

Call on Governor Parson to prevent the execution of Marcellus Williams on September 24

Save Missouri from making the irreparable mistake of executing an innocent man.

In Missouri, Marcellus Williams is scheduled to be executed for a crime he did not commit. Last week, St. Louis County Judge Bruce Hilton denied a motion to overturn Marcellus' conviction and death sentence after previously accepting an Alford plea that was later blocked by the Missouri Supreme Court. This was despite the prosecutor's admission that the previous administration committed constitutional errors in his case. We need everyone's help to call on Governor Mike Parson to stop Missouri from killing an innocent man.

Previously, St. Louis County Prosecutor Wesley Bell had filed a motion to overturn Marcellus’ conviction because he believed that forensic evidence Marcellus was exonerated from the crime.

At an evidentiary hearing on August 28, his office acknowledged that the previous administration committed constitutional errors that contributed to Marcellus' implausible conviction and death sentence, including improper handling of the evidence in his case.

Now Judge Hilton has denied PA Bell's motion to overturn Marcellus' conviction and death sentence, and the Missouri Supreme Court has decided to set September 24 as the execution date.

Call Governor Parson and tell him to stop the execution before it's too late: 417-373-3400
