Kalif Raymond entered the NFL record books on Sunday. Raymond returned a punt 90 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter of Detroit's 52-14 win over the Tennessee Titans. Later in the quarter, the wideout caught a seven-yard touchdown pass from Jared Goff.

Raymond became the first player in NFL history to return a punt for a touchdown and catch a touchdown pass in the same game. The punt return TD was the first for Raymond since the 2022 season, despite several close calls – including another in this game.

After the win, the energetic wideout was excited for the punt return TD.

“I was prepared for this feeling too many times,” Raymond told reporters. “It's kind of surreal, it's like, 'Oh, oh, it's happening, it's happening,' and saying, 'Don't screw it up. Don't mess up.' But no, when you have guys like that – I've been saying this for the last 30 to 45 minutes – when you have defensive players that play three snaps, force a punt and then block the punt, it's unbelievable. “

Entering Week 8 play, Raymond had 14 returns for a total of 125 yards in Detroit's first six games. Against Tennessee, Raymond managed 190 yards on five punt returns.
