Brianna accuses Zach Bryan of “emotional abuse” and asks her to sign a non-disclosure agreement

Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia accused singer-songwriter Zach Bryan of emotional abuse, claiming he made former partners sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) to prevent them from speaking publicly about their experiences with him.

LaPaglia made the claims BFFs She co-hosts the podcast on Thursday with fellow Barstool hosts Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards.

“The last year of my life was the hardest year of my life dealing with the abuse from this guy,” LaPaglia said in the final episode, referring to Bryan. “My brain is rewired and I'm afraid of making him angry, and last week she added. “I didn’t want to talk about it because I was scared.”

The news comes amid an uproar on social media surrounding LaPaglia's public split from Bryan. On Wednesday, Richards and Portnoy released a dissident track aimed at the country singer called “Smallest Man.” The song featured real audio recordings of Bryan's arrest in Oklahoma in 2023 and referenced resurfaced tweets from Bryan's criticizing pop star Taylor Swift.

“You made the women before me believe that they had no choice but to take money from you,” LaPaglia continued. “(They) signed off on their experiences and what they went through, (so) you can go off and sing yourself little damn songs on stage like you’re a good guy.”

A representative for Bryan did not immediately respond Rolling StonePlease comment.

LaPaglia said her decision to speak out was “for everyone else who has been emotionally abused and for the people who are currently being emotionally abused.”

“For anyone who doesn’t have a support system, which I luckily went through,” the podcaster continued. “For me it's not a drama. It's not about me not signing the non-disclosure agreement or not taking the money because I want to come in here and reveal who he is and all that shit. I don’t sign my experiences and what I’ve been through to protect someone who hurt me and I’m way stronger than a weak man, screw you and screw your money.”

LaPaglia's return to the podcast follows her statement last week BFFs would take a week off. “Hey people! We tried to do a recording this week, but because of all the backlash, I'm having a very hard time figuring out how I want to handle this publicly,” LaPaglia wrote at the time. “This week I’m going to put my mental health first.”

Their statement came after Bryan announced their split on his Instagram Story last month. On YouTube, LaPaglia said she was surprised by the public announcement. “I had no idea this post was going to blow up,” she said in a short video. “I’m completely taken by surprise.”
