According to Phoenix police, police shot a boy with a stun gun after receiving reports of several male students displaying their weapons outside a high school dance Saturday night.

According to police, a mother called police on her way to her daughter's school and reported that her daughter had told her about the incident.

Police said they arrested two boys and determined they had no weapons.

School staff alerted officials that another boy made similar claims during the dance. When officers tried to stop him, police say he became combative and unruly.

One officer was injured during the fight but did not go to hospital.
