TAMPA, Fla. – If you are a member of the Beef Studs and Babes, this is the normal attire:

“We start with white, so people can easily fill it in with green and fill in the gold on the outside,” said Kyle Muffoletto.

The student fan group of the boisterous Bulls has existed for decades.

“It's so nice because it brings so many students together,” said Ashley Hamlet. And they're working on recruiting even more members.

“You're a beef stud, you're always there on game day. You show up for your team,” said Muffoletto. Muffoletto is a fourth-year student at USF studying mass communications and is the leader of the Beef Studs and Babes.

He says he expects Saturday's game against the eighth-ranked Miami Hurricanes to be the biggest turnout yet.

“It always builds on each other and this is just the next step that our USF Bulls have to take and we will be right there cheering them on,” Muffoletto said.

A record number of USF students will be in the stands for this game, as more than 14,000 have secured tickets.

The athletic department hopes younger fans like Ashley Hamlet will fill the student section at the new on-campus stadium, which is scheduled to open in three years.

“It's really a great experience when the team wins and we score a touchdown and they throw people in the air. It's a lot of fun and it's really nice to have everyone together,” Hamlet said.

From campus to tailgate parties to the stadium, this green gang is ready to go wild again and earn a home-field advantage that will last in their new home.

“You will see a great improvement in traffic flow in this area,”
Almost $865 million later, the new Howard Frankland Bridge is entering its final construction phase.
