Donald Trump took the stage in Florida with his family by his side to announce victory in the US presidential election.

Along with his wife Melania, daughter Ivanka and son Barron, the Republican presidential candidate gave a victory speech marked by confident declarations and gratitude to his supporters, even though some states had not yet announced their results.

As Trump spoke in West Palm Beach, he was close to reaching the 270 Electoral College votes needed to be officially declared the next president of the United States.

After being actively involved during her father's presidency from 2016 to 2020, Ivanka and her husband decided to step away from political roles and focus on their personal life and family. Ivanka explained that while she loved and supported her father, she prioritized her children and family life over political involvement, a stance she expressed shortly after Trump announced his latest campaign in late 2022.

Since then, aside from social and family occasions, she has largely stayed out of the spotlight and avoided campaign-related events, even as the 2024 election approaches.

In 2023, Ivanka gave testimony before the House Select Committee investigating the January 6, 2021 Capitol insurrection.

Low profile

Melania Trump also remained conspicuously reserved during Trump's 2024 election campaign. In contrast to her active presence in the 2016 and 2020 campaigns, Melania made only brief appearances and made limited public statements.

The former first lady attended the Republican National Convention but did not give a speech and generally did not actively participate in campaign events.
