Arnold Palmer was “horrified” by “crude” Trump who praised the late golfer’s genitals – The Daily Beast

Golf icon Arnold Palmer was “appalled” by former President Donald Trump, who strangely began bragging about Palmer's genitals at a campaign rally on Saturday, and “couldn't believe the rudeness” of the Republican presidential nominee, according to his family.

A senior adviser to Trump's campaign told reporters before his rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, that the event would mark his “closing argument” to voters as the election approaches.

Instead, Trump began his remarks by talking about Latrobe-born Palmer's penis: “When he was showering with other professionals, they came out of it. They said, 'Oh my God.' This is unbelievable.'”

Arnold, who died in 2016, would almost certainly have been offended by Trump's latest blatant attempt at “insult.”Conversation in the locker room“If his family is to be believed.

His daughter said The Sporting News In 2018, the golf legend, a conservative who was friends with Dwight D. Eisenhower, was so outraged by Trump's lack of civility that he made disgusted noises when Trump appeared on television.

“My dad and I were home in Latrobe,” said Palmer’s daughter Peg. “He died in September (2016), so that was before the election. The television was on. Trump was talking. And my father made a disgusted sound – like “uck” or “ugg” – as if he couldn't believe the arrogance and rudeness of this man who was the candidate of the political party he believed in. Then he said, “That's him.” “Not as smart as we thought,” and left the room. What would my father think of Donald Trump today? I think he would cringe.”

Peg told The Sporting News that her father appreciated Trump's support of golf and attended charities and other events at Trump golf courses. But when Trump ran for office, she said, he realized he didn't want to participate in Trump's politics.

“My father had no patience for people who humiliated other people in public,” she added. “He had no patience for people who were dishonest and deceitful. My father was disciplined. He wanted to be a good role model. He was appalled by Trump’s lack of civility and what he perceived as Trump’s lack of character.”

Trump has been bringing penises into politics for around eight years. In 2016, he defended his penis size after Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), an opponent in that year's Republican primary, commented on Trump's supposedly small hands, an insult that dates back to 1988 as Graydon Carter called him a “short-fingered Vulgarian” in spy Magazine.

During his term he was allegedly called then-White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham, insisting that his penis was not small or shaped like a toadstool, as claimed by Trump's alleged former lover, porn star Stormy Daniels.
