Anthony Davis wasn't at all happy with the Lakers' win on Friday

Anthony Davis wasn't at all happy with the Lakers' win on Friday

The Los Angeles Lakers ended their two-game losing streak with a win over the Toronto Raptors on Friday, but they made things harder on themselves than necessary.

Early on, it looked like they would pull off an easy victory as they led 43-19 at the end of the first quarter and 76-51 at halftime. But they probably got complacent after that and allowed 74 points in the second half as Toronto came at them and made things close.

Los Angeles escaped with a 131-125 victory, and afterward, Anthony Davis told the truth about how things were going north of the border.

“Unacceptable,” Davis said. “Yes, we won, we'll definitely get the win because it's hard to win in this league, especially away from home, but we're still far from where we want to be. To have such a big lead…” . If we do anything this season and have any goals or ambitions and do anything, we can't let that happen defensively.

Davis dominated for the fifth time in six games this season with 38 points on 14 of 20 shooting, 11 rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots. Since joining the Lakers five years ago, he has shown increasing leadership qualities, both on and off the court.

Last season, the Lakers lost several games to inferior games that they should have easily won. Just a win in these games, especially by a big enough margin, could see the team single-handedly have over 50 wins by the end of the season.
