The fall season may be well underway, but that doesn't matter to Angelina Jolie.

Yesterday the actor – deep in their affair Mary Press tour – attended a screening of the film Pablo Larraín in Beverly Hills, where she dressed for the warmer seasons. (But let's face it, a California fall can rival anyone's spring and summer.)

Jolie, who refused to dress in full Callas costume during her promotional period, wore a white suit with a white square-neck top to the screening. While the one-button blazer and cropped slim-fit trousers were undeniably summery, it was her shoes that really caught our eye.

The actor wore a pair of tall, five-and-a-half-inch Aquazzura heels with a warm brown leather platform and a cream canvas open toe and ankle strap. For those who have their eyes glued to Jolie's every shoe choice, these platform sandals are quite a surprise. The actress usually prefers black and nude Christian Louboutin Dolly 85 pumps – although she's been trying out a casual boot lately.

But judging by the actor's latest look, there may be no need to put away those summer shoes after all. Take inspiration from Angelina Jolie this fall and enjoy open toes and linens. Of course only if the weather allows it.
