Al Roker, Kelly Clarkson and other TV presenters dress up as Beetlejuice for Halloween

Beetlejuice is the ghost with the most this Halloween in more ways than one!

The famous ghoul proved to be a popular costume choice among TV hosts: Al Roker, Mark Consuelos and Kelly Clarkson all donned black-and-white pantsuits and green wigs on their respective shows on Thursday, October 31. Roker, 70, was accompanied by Dylan Dreyer as Winona Ryder's character Lydia Deetz from the 1988 and 2024 films Todaywhile Kelly Ripa was also dressed as Lydia alongside her husband's Beetlejuice Live with Kelly and Mark.

Beetlejuice – famously played by Michael Keaton – is having a moment in 2024 thanks to the release of the long-awaited sequel to the original film. Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, in September. With the bio-exorcist's resurgent popularity, it's no wonder the character was the top choice this year for presenters looking for a spooky but fun costume.

For her part, Clarkson, 42, mastered the task with a little help from Emmy-nominated makeup artist Gloria Elias-Foeillet and Emmy Award-winning special effects makeup artist and Saturday Night Live Department head Louie Zakarian. The “Since U Been Gone” singer was unrecognizable in her ghostly white makeup, shabby black-and-white striped suit and wild green wig.

She even committed to mimicking Keaton's unique way of voicing Beetlejuice, opening the episode with a Kellyoke version of “Banana Boat (Day-O),” the Harry Belafonte song that received one of the points BeetlejuiceThe most iconic scenes.

Over TodayRoker wore the same iconic ensemble from Beetlejuice, just slightly less detailed than Clarkson's look. However, he had a partner in the form of 43-year-old Dreyer, who wore an all-black gothic dress to portray young Lydia, complete with a wild updo straight from the '80s.

The co-hosts teamed up to recreate the original film's hesitant dance scene, which made their look even more authentic.

To Live with Kelly and MarkLongtime married couple and co-hosts Ripa, 54, and Consuelos, 53, wore multiple costumes for their 2024 Halloween spectacle, but their Beetlejuice The group costume was a highlight of the episode.

Consuelos joined the crowd by wearing Beetlejuice's most famous look, complete with spooky makeup and green hair, but Ripa opted for Lydia's red wedding dress rather than the character's standard black ensemble. The pair were joined by singer Deja Vu as the dead Miss Argentina in a red dress and orange wig, and producer Michael Gelman as Shrunken Head Bob, who wore a bright yellow suit with a name tag.

The TV show hosts weren't the only ones calling out Beetlejuice with their costumes this holiday season – stars like Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Ashley Graham and Chris Appleton also took inspiration from the films for their Halloween costumes.
