Aaron Rodgers criticized Monday night's penalties, including a rough tackle on the passer against the Bills

Monday night's game between the Bills and Jets featured 22 penalties for 204 yards. After Buffalo's 23-20 win, Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers shared his views on the events.

Among his criticisms was a rough passer foul on Bills defensive end AJ Epenesa to score Rodgers.

“It seemed a little ridiculous,” Rodgers said of the penalties in general. “Yeah, some of them seemed really bad. Including the rough attitude of the passerby towards me. This doesn't mean angering the passer. Might as well play Sarcastaball if we want to call these things. And I thought Kinlaw (Jets defensive tackle Javon) wasn’t roughing up the passer either.”

Rodgers later said that a Jets touchdown by rookie running back Braelon Allen was negated by a “phantom holding call.”

There are clear statements in the league that coaches and management criticize the office. For players, it's a little more vague. At one point, a fine was imposed only when the player questioned the integrity of the officials. However, last year, Browns defensive end Myles Garrett was fined $25,000 for officiating in the win over the Jaguars.a travesty.”

Rodgers did not accuse the officers of wrongdoing. Instead, he focused on their competence. Whether 345 Park Avenue will focus on its checking account remains to be seen.
