Travis Hunter visibly upset on the Colorado sideline during the close game against Baylor

Tempers may have cooled, Colorado even has Baylor in the third quarter. But two-way star Travis Hunter didn't hold his cards in his hand for a while on Saturday evening.

With the Buffaloes trailing 24-17 at the time and yet to score a point in the first half, Hunter was seen on the sideline taking off his helmet and seemingly slamming it to the ground. While he stood back as the Buffaloes sent the punt team onto the field, he seemed to beg for answers as to why Colorado was calling those plays – with varying degrees of profanity.

“What do we do?” Hunter apparently said.

Hunter had six catches for 126 yards by the end of the third quarter. He also had a TFL on defense.

Hunter is probably not upset after wild finish in Boulder

Colorado is back in the Big 12 and hosted Baylor for its first game since returning. As the clock counted down to zero – and even showed zero – the Buffaloes seemed to be heading for 0-1 in conference play. One last shot from Shedeur Sanders was all they had after Will Sheppard dropped the touchdown that could have tied the game.

Sanders went back to the left side of the field and threw a ball into the end zone. Somehow he hit wide receiver LaJohntay Wester Colorado was just one extra point away from overtaking their opponents, an incredible play by Sanders and Wester that sent Folsom Field into a frenzy.

Although Baylor did its best to freeze Colorado with the PAT, the kick went through the goal posts. There will be overtime in Boulder as the Buffaloes look to pull off a miracle on Saturday night.

And when overtime began, the Buffaloes turned the tables and secured the win. On the first possession, Colorado marched in quickly and scored a touchdown to take the lead before the defense could do its work.

A fumble at the goal line, forced by none other than Hunter himself, prevented Baylor from tying the score (and potentially allowing the win with a 2-point attempt) and took the late-night crowd's cheers two notches higher.

With the win, Colorado is now 3-1 and in a similar situation to last year: They have a good chance of making the bowl tournament. If the Buffaloes do better in 2024 than they did last year, that should be possible.
