Why Taylor Swift skipped Travis Kelce's LA Chargers game

Why Taylor Swift skipped Travis Kelce's LA Chargers game

After a week away from Travis Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs football games, Taylor Swift decided to take a second Sunday off so he could focus on his matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. Although she typically arrives an hour before kickoff, she was not seen at the stadium before or after the game began at 4:25 p.m. ET.

However, Kelce attracted attention for his performance early in the game:

Swift attended Kelce's first two games of the season, both of which took place at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. She hasn't been to any away games yet.

The star is currently taking a break until she resumes her Eras Tour concerts in Miami on October 18. She spent the past week out of the spotlight after making headlines with Gigi Hadid in New York on Saturday, September 21.

The Chiefs have won all three games so far, although Kelce's performance has attracted some media attention. The tight end also made headlines for his work on Ryan Murphy's new series grotesque. The first episode was released on Wednesday, September 25th.

Murphy shared in an interview with E! the acting advice Swift gave her boyfriend when he took on the role! this week. The only thing (Travis and I) talked about was that she was very supportive of him, and if he was interested, she wanted him to try it,” the show's co-creator said. “I was excited about that.” Murphy has generally heard nothing but “sweet, beautiful things (about Swift).” I love you to.”

Swift's appearances at Kelce's games draw extra attention — and require a lot of extra security to protect her. This factor may also have contributed to their decision to cheer on Kelce from afar over the past two weeks.

Swift never visited the NFL cameras. She told Time in December: “I don’t know how they know which suite I’m in. There's a camera about half a mile away and you don't know where it is and you have no idea when the camera will be on the show, so I don't know if I'll be featured 17 times or once. “

She added: “I’m just there to support Travis. I’m not aware if I’m being shown too much and I’m upsetting a few dads, Brads and Chads.”
