At halftime, the Bears lead the Rams 10-6

The Bears' defense kept Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and the rest of the team's offense in check through the first 30 minutes, and Chicago held a 10-6 halftime lead over Los Angeles.

Edge rusher Montez Sweat made the decisive play of the first half by picking off Stafford midway through the second quarter. The Bears recovered the fumble and began a possession at the LA 16-yard line, capitalizing on a 1-yard touchdown to take a 7-6 lead.

Rams rookie kicker Joshua Karty had a chance to put the Rams back in front, but his 43-yard field goal attempt missed wide left, keeping the score at 7-6. Karty made his first two field goals from 46 and 37 yards, respectively.

Cairo Santos hit a 40-yard field goal with just nine seconds left in the second quarter to make it 10-6.

Los Angeles' defense also performed well for the most part, holding Caleb Williams to just 8 of 13 passes for 71 yards. The Bears are 0 of 4 on third down and have eight first downs.

On the other hand, Stafford is 11 of 16 for 122 yards with a lost fumble. While Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua are still out due to injuries, rookie Jordan Whittington leads the way with five catches for 46 yards.

Bears guard Teven Jenkins went down after a run by Caleb Williams early in the second quarter. It is questionable whether he will return due to a rib injury.

The Rams get the kickoff for the second half.
