The Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Lakers will take the court today to begin the first game of their regular season series matchups. Both teams are coming off a defeat and would like to get back on the winning list. These two teams have had plenty of grit in the past, so fans can expect more of the same.

The Grizzlies have seven players listed on their injury report: Desmond Bane, GG Jackson, Luke Kennard, John Konchar, Marcus Smart, Cam Spencer and Vince Williams Jr.

Desmond Bane is out due to a muscle strain in his right foot, GG Jackson is out due to a right fifth metatarsal repair, Luke Kennard is out as questionable due to a muscle strain in his left foot, John Konchar is listed as questionable due to a muscle strain in his left foot contusion right quadrant, Marcus Smart is out with a right ankle sprain, Cam Spencer is out with a right ankle sprain and Vince Williams Jr. is out with a left shin strain.

The Lakers have nine players listed on their injury report: Anthony Davis, Jalen Hood-Schifino, Maxwell Lewis, Quincy Olivari, Austin Reaves, D'Angelo Russell, Armel Traore, Jarred Vanderbilt and Christian Wood.

Anthony Davis is listed as questionable due to a bruised left heel, Jalen Hood-Schifino is listed as out due to G League play, Maxwell Lewis is listed as out due to G League play, Quincy Olivari is listed as out listed as out of two-way contract in the G League, Austin Reaves is listed as probable due to a sprained right ankle, D'Angelo Russell is listed as probable due to a bruised right foot, Armel Traore is listed as out of two-way due to his right ankle sprain G League contract listed as out Jarred Vanderbilt is out due to right foot surgery and Christian Wood is out due to left knee surgery.
