Trump 2028: If ex-president loses, most Republicans support another try – poll

Most Donald Trump supporters want him to run again if he loses the presidential election, an exclusive poll for Newsweek has found.

The study, conducted by independent polling firm Redfield & Wilton Strategies, found that 51 percent of Trump voters believe he should run again in 2028 if he loses to Kamala Harris, and 38 percent believe he should not.

The question was asked of Trump voters who said they had either already voted for him in the 2024 election or planned to do so. This raises the possibility that Trump could be in a good position to run again if he loses the election.
