Former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle moved to the new team

According to multiple reports, former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Khalil Davis was traded to the San Francisco 49ers in the latest trade of the trade deadline. Davis, 28, had spent the last two seasons with the Houston Texans.

However, the Texans expect to get defensive lineman Mario Edwards back, and Davis could have been on the chopping block. Davis now gives the 49ers more depth at defensive tackle.

Davis was signed by the Steelers in 2021 when he joined his brother Carlos Davis in Pittsburgh. Davis was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft and has spent time in the NFL and USFL while trying to achieve his NFL dream.

During his career, he spent time with the Buccaneers, Texans, Steelers, Indianapolis Colts and Los Angeles Rams. Now he will play for the 49ers, who acquired him because of his explosive pass-rush abilities.

Davis has recorded two sacks and 34 tackles during his NFL career. During his career, he was a Super Bowl and USFL champion in both leagues.
