Dallas Cowboys acquire Panthers WR Jonathan Mingo at NFL trade deadline

It didn't take long for the Dallas Cowboys to make a move on trade deadline day.

Minutes after team owner and general manager Jerry Jones told 105.3 The Fan (KRLD-FM) in his weekly interview Tuesday that the team would trade for a wide receiver, a person familiar with the transaction told The Dallas Morning News that it a deal was struck with the Carolina Panthers.

Heading to Dallas is wideout Jonathan Mingo and a 2025 seventh-round pick in exchange for a 2025 fourth-round pick for the Panthers.

The 23-year-old Mingo was the No. 39 pick out of Ole Miss in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Carolina. In his rookie season, he appeared in 15 games and had 43 catches for 418 yards.

The 6-2, 220-pound pass catcher has 12 receptions for 121 yards this season and still hasn't found the end zone in his NFL career.
