The Cleveland Cavaliers tied a franchise record by winning their first eight games of the season with a 116-114 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Cavaliers tied a 1976-77 record with a win in which Darius Garland scored a game-high 39 points against a Bucks team without the injured Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Garland sank a three-pointer with 45 seconds left and then set up Jarrett Allen for a layup with 12.2 seconds left to secure the win.

“It’s hard to get one (win), so eight is crazy,” Garland said.

Damian Lillard scored 36 points for the Bucks, who led 106-98 with just over six minutes left, but couldn't prevent his team from losing its sixth straight game.

Cleveland also beat the Bucks 114-113 on Saturday when Donovan Mitchell scored with 0.3 seconds left.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are also unbeaten this season, having won their seventh game in a row with a win over Orlando magic 102-86.

Jalen Williams scored 23 points for the Thunder, while teammate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 21 points.

Elsewhere, Stephen Curry returned to help after a three-game absence Golden State Warriors Beat that Washington Wizards 125-112.

Curry returned from spraining his left ankle and scored 24 points against the Wizards as the Warriors improved their road record to 4-0.

The Detroit Pistons ended a seven-game losing streak with a 115-103 win against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Jaden Ivey scored 26 points while Pistons teammate Cade Cunningham posted a triple-double with 17 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists.

The Lakers' Anthony Davis, who continued to play in the fourth quarter after appearing to be suffering from ankle problems, led all scorers with 37 points.

Kevin Durant scored 35 points to cap it off Phoenix Suns to a 118-116 win against the Philadelphia 76erswhile the Boston Celtics Beat that Atlanta Hawks 123-93.
