All of these questions and possibly more will be answered by Tuesday's NFL trade deadline at 4 p.m. ET.

With so many teams in play at the halfway point of the expanded playoffs, the difference between buyers and sellers could be razor-thin. Could the Panthers move on from 2023 No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young? Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports says some across the NFL think the Panthers are ready to lure the second-year quarterback should a market develop looking to acquire the 2021 Heisman Trophy winner after a dismal start to his season Rebuilding NFL career.

Cooper Kupp's name has been in industry circles for nearly two weeks, but the Rams are still tied in the NFC wild-card race, especially after Sunday's overtime win in Seattle, and head coach Sean McVay says he wouldn't want Super Bowl 56 MVP leaves Los Angeles.

Frank Schwab of Yahoo Sports has a deadline wish list that includes bringing Davante Adams back to the Bay Area, Detroit adding a well-traveled pass rusher and modernizing their backfield among his 10 trades that should happen before the deadline through the cowboys stand.

This could impact what the Cowboys do or don't do heading into Tuesday's NFL trade deadline: quarterback Dak Prescott's hamstring injury is more serious than initially thought and he's expected to be out for several weeks, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

In an analysis of the Cowboys' trade deadline prospects, Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports wrote:

If the Cowboys are trading away a 2024 roster that has suffered injuries to its top two players on offense and three top players on defense, the decision seems short-sighted. At 3-5, the Cowboys have a 4 percent chance of making the playoffs, according to The Athletic's playoff projection. Competing against the 7-2 Washington Commanders and 6-2 Philadelphia Eagles, the Cowboys' chance of winning the NFC East is less than 1 percent. This franchise has made the playoffs each of the last three years. A mere playoff berth, which Dallas is unlikely to win, doesn't cover development costs.

  • Saints fire head coach Dennis Allen after 2-7 start

After falling to a 2-7 record, the New Orleans Saints are making some big changes before the trade deadline – on the coaching staff.

The Saints fired head coach Dennis Allen on Monday after three seasons. New Orleans got off to a good start, starting the season 2-0, but has lost its last seven games, including games against mediocre opponents (Denver Broncos, Carolina Panthers) that could – or maybe even should – were easy victories.

  • Jerry Jones hints at possible trade deadline activity

The Dallas Cowboys fell short of expectations at 3-5, capped by a loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. With the team struggling with the running game, red zone defense and other key areas on the field, owner Jerry Jones should look to make a few moves before the deadline.

“We'll probably do a few things this week,” Jones told reporters outside the locker room after the game, according to Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports. “If things go the way we want them to.”

Everyone knew the Detroit Lions were in the market for a defensive lineman after star Aidan Hutchinson suffered a season-ending leg injury on October 13th. Could the Cleveland Browns' Za'Darius Smith help?

    From Pro Football Talk:

According to a source familiar with the situation, it is currently expected that Smith will be traded to Detroit this evening (Sunday or tomorrow).

Smith, 32, has played for the Ravens, Packers and Vikings. He said he would welcome a move to Detroit because it would allow him to compete directly with two of his former teams.
