Milwaukee City Councilman Jonathan Brostoff has died; represented the east side of the city

FOX6 News learned on Monday, November 4th that Milwaukee City Councilman Jonathan Brostoff died. Brostoff represented Aldermanic District 3 in Milwaukee – primarily on the city's east side.

The Milwaukee County Coroner's Office said in a news release that it is conducting a death investigation in Greenfield Park. The deceased is tentatively identified as Brostoff, officials said. The coroner is “investigating this death as a suicide.” An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, November 5th.

Brostoff's bio on the city's website indicates he was elected to District 3 in November 2022. He previously served as a district representative in the 19th State Assembly in Wisconsin.
