Fulham 2-1 Brentford: Harry Wilson comes off the bench to score a dramatic late brace as the Cottagers stun the Bees at Craven Cottage

Harry Wilson scored twice in added time to secure a remarkable comeback win for Fulham against Brentford in a west London derby at Craven Cottage.

Brentford had been leading since the 24th minute when Vitaly Janelt hit the bottom corner with his rocketing shot against the run of play.

And Fulham's enterprising play seemed to mean they had nothing left to do as the clock showed six minutes of added time.

But substitute Wilson had other ideas and equalized with a clever shot off the post that went over the goalkeeper and into the far corner, bringing the home team level.

And it was Wilson who triumphed immediately after his death, stooping to bring home Antonee Robinson's cross, sparking jubilant scenes on the banks of the Thames. The goal was lucky because Wilson wanted to head the ball into the far corner, but saw it fly off his shoulder and into the near corner.

The win moves Fulham ahead of Brentford and into ninth place in the Premier League.

Talking Point – Three completely deserved points

Fulham were consistently the better team and managed 26 attempts in the game, Brentford five, with only two of the visitors' attempts being on target, while Fulham managed twelve.

Manager Marco Silva will have been frustrated by his side's lack of ruthlessness and will be keen to find more offense in the busy period of the season.

But the quality of his side's build-up play was extremely encouraging, with Reiss Nelson and Emile Smith Rowe particularly impressive.

Player of the Match – Antonee Robinson (Fulham)

Fulham's American full-back is impressive throughout and played a big role on the left throughout the evening, where some of the best football of the game was played.

His link-up with Nelson and Smith Rowe caused Brentford problems all night and defensively he did an excellent job keeping Bryan Mbeumo quiet.

Right into the 96th minute, Robinson was keen to push forward and it was his run and cross that produced the winning goal.

Was it intentional? He won't care. 1-1!

Brentford almost got it when Leno made a sensational save from close range to deny Carvalho and his defenders tried to deny the visitors on the rebound. This is the best chance the Bees created all night.
