Ryan Hartman also scored a goal and Filip Gustavsson made 27 saves for Minnesota (8-1-2), which has won seven of its last eight games. Kirill Kaprizov's multi-point streak ended after seven games (six goals, 11 assists).

“I thought both teams played well tonight,” Wild coach John Hynes said. “It was a tough game. I thought both teams played with structure, both teams had kickoffs at certain times in the game.”

William Nylander scored a goal and Stolarz made 31 saves for Toronto (6-5-2), which suffered a 4-2 loss at the St. Louis Blues on Saturday.

“We were under a little pressure in the third period and took a lot of penalties,” Maple Leafs coach Craig Berube said. “We were put under pressure, but (Stolarz) stood up for us. That was a good point.”

Hartman gave the Wild a 1-0 lead at 10:19 of the first period. He hit a rebound off John Tavares' stick after Frederick Gaudreau's first chance hit the post.

Nylander evened the score at 1-1 with a power play goal at 19:08, scoring a one-timer from the left circle off a cross-ice pass from Auston Matthews.

“Yeah, it was some great passing play from Mitch (Marner) and (Matthews) that got me that,” Nylander said. “It was good. I thought our power play worked there, so I felt good.”
