The Saints' Derek Carr has now lost to more teams than any other QB in NFL history

Bryce Young rallied the Carolina Panthers to a 23-22 victory over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

With the defeat, Saints quarterback Derek Carr wrote an ignominious story. The loss was the first of Carr's career in a game against Carolina. And Carr is now the first quarterback in NFL history to lose to 31 different teams.

The only team he didn't lose to? A Las Vegas Raiders team he played for nine seasons before joining the Saints in 2023. He will have a chance to hit a clean 32 when the Saints host the Raiders on December 29th.

Sunday's loss was the latest setback in a Saints season that has collapsed since a 2-0 start. The Saints stunned the NFL in the first two weeks of the season, posting the league's highest points total in stunning victories over the Panthers and Dallas Cowboys.

Since then, they have lost seven games in a row and are now 2-7. They now have the worst record in the NFL and share last place in the NFC South standings with a Panthers team that had previously benched Young only to see him reclaim his spot in the lineup and led to a win over the Saints on Sunday.

Things have also been difficult for Carr since that red-hot start. He missed three games because of an oblique strain he suffered in Week 5 before returning to the Saints' lineup on Sunday, only to lose to the Panthers.

The Saints will look to get back to winning ways next week in another division game against the Atlanta Falcons.
