NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Nick Folk hit a 25-yard field goal with 2:32 left in overtime and the Tennessee Titans defeated the New England Patriots 20-17 on Sunday, giving coach Brian Callahan his first home win of the season bestowed.

The Titans (2-6) fell over three games both overall and at Nissan Stadium.

The Patriots (2-7) brought back rookie Drake Maye after the third pick out of North Carolina cleared concussion protocol on Saturday. He started after sitting out last week's win over the Jets, using his legs and running for a team-best 95 yards.

New England had one last chance after Maye forced overtime with a 5-yard TD pass to Rhamondre Stevenson. But Amani Hooker's second interception of the game gave the Titans the win with 2:07 left.

Tennessee also had four sacks and forced three turnovers, converting them into 10 points, on a defense that led the NFL in both fewest yards allowed and passing yards allowed. The fourth sack came when Arden Key Maye also took away the ball, which Jeffery Simmons recovered at the Patriots' 26 with 6:48 left.

Mason Rudolph threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Nick Westbrooke-Ikhine with 4:27 left to give the Titans their first fourth-quarter points since Sept. 30.

With no timeouts left, Marcus Jones, who led the AFC in punt return average, hit a 25-yard punt to midfield with 1:45 left, setting up a thrilling finish between two struggling teams.

Maye drove the Patriots to the Titans 5 and then ran around looking for someone to open it up. It took him 11.82 seconds to find Stevenson for the TD, the second-longest time he took on a TD pass since 2016, when the NFL began using NextGenStats to track it.

Only Jayden Daniels' game-winner for Washington took longer, 12.7 seconds. Joey Slye tied the game with the extra point and forced overtime.

Rudolph finished the game with 240 yards passing, starting his third straight game for Will Levis. Tony Pollard, who finished with 128 yards rushing, highlighted the first drive with a 32-yard run, and Rudolph threw a 9-yard TD pass to Nick Vannett.

Tennessee had one of the NFL's worst offenses in multiple categories and the Titans needed overtime to score more than 17 points for the second time this season.

The Titans had a first-and-goal twice. The first ended with Rudolph's pass being intercepted in the end zone. They settled for a 21-yard field goal from Folk and tied it at 10 yards in the final minute of the third period after Pollard's 8-yard TD run on first-and-goal was negated by a holding penalty Josh Whyle was undone.
