Some states in the United States will be covered in snow on Halloween, as released by the National Weather Service (NWS). a winter storm warning for October 31st.

According to the government agency responsible for weather monitoring There will be heavy snowfall in the highest areas of the western mountains. We share with you the states where snow is expected this Thursday.

At the moment, A winter storm warning is in effect for about 15 million people. States affected by the strong storm include Utah, Wyoming and Colorado, particularly the higher elevations in these regions. Those in mountainous areas could see up to 30 centimeters of snow.

Be prepared for winter driving conditions and slow down if you need to get to higher elevations. “As the storm progresses, the significantly colder air will lead to frost and icing at lower altitudes.” warned the NWS.

Moderate snowfall is expected in parts of Minnesota, as well as far northern Wisconsin and parts of Michigan. The Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area will also see a light covering of snow on Thursday, October 31st.

“If you plan to travel on Thursday, be prepared for rapidly changing conditions.” said the NWS, as reported by USA today; while meteorologist Caitlin Kaiser warned that temperatures in the Northwest, the Rocky Mountains and the Midwest could plunge above 40C.
