Our Miami Dolphins started the offseason by letting some homegrown talent walk out the door. In at least some cases, the choice was taken away from them by offering players ridiculous contracts. We're now finding out that others, like Andrew Van Ginkle, who has hit the ground running since leaving, were never offered a deal by Miami. What??? You had to at least try, right??? Then came a flood of free agent signings and the panic of some Phins fans seemed to subside. Now, it seems like with all the losses and additions to the roster, given Tua Tagovailoa's previous injury/concussion issues (besides the offensive line), a serious and glaring need has been overlooked: a more solid quarterback who could carry the team if and when than Tua went out for a long time.

That time came; Tua left the second game of the season and only returned last week. The team is now at a terrible 2 and 5 this season. Given that coming to Buffalo and picking up a win over the Buffalo Bills seems unlikely, this season appears to be all but over. The team could then have success, losing just one more game and ending up 10 and 7, which would likely put them in the playoffs. Nevertheless, this scenario seems more unlikely than victory next Sunday. Don't get me wrong, I'll be rooting for my team against Buffalo this week and hoping for the upset, but I'm not expecting it. That leads us to today's question of the day.

At what point does the Miami Dolphins front office wave the white flag for the 2024 season and look to trade away some assets, particularly older players, to add valuable draft picks for the future? If you think you are going to make some trades now or at a loss, who would you move?
