Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins – first half open thread

Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins – first half open thread

The Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins will end their season series today, just halfway through the 2024 NFL season. And even though it's only week nine, both clubs are trending in completely different directions.

Buffalo is 6-2 with a 2-0 record in the AFC East. Their next rival for the division title is the New York Jets, who are 3-6 and have a 1-2 record in the AFC East that includes a 23-20 loss to the Bills. Buffalo also beat Miami in the first game and won 31-10 in the second week of the season in September.

For the Dolphins, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa returns for his second game after suffering another serious concussion earlier this season. It happened in the fourth quarter of the loss to the Bills. Last week he was efficient against the Arizona Cardinals (28/38, 234 yards, one touchdown), but Miami lost the game 28-27.

For the Bills, quarterback Josh Allen looks to continue his career-long dominance against Miami. In 13 regular season games against the Dolphins, Allen is averaging 22 completions, 34 pass attempts, three passing touchdowns, 0.5 interceptions, 269 passing yards, seven rushing attempts, 49 rushing yards and 0.4 rushing touchdowns per game. Allen and the Bills are 11-2 in those contests.

Your first half thread is here, friends. Please remember to be polite to one another. If you're looking for that classic game thread feel, toggle comments to oldest. And most importantly, enjoy the game no matter where you watch it.

Come on, bills!
