Actress Chloe Grace Moretz has come out as gay in a post urging others to vote early and supporting Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

The 27 year old star, known for her roles in Kick in the ass, Carrie And The equalizer And who previously dated Brooklyn Beckham, shared a picture of an “I Voted Early” sticker on her Instagram account.

In the caption, the actor wrote, “I voted early and voted for Kamala Harris. There is so much at stake in this election. I believe that the government has no right over my body as a woman and that decisions about my body should ONLY be mine and my doctor’s.”

The star went on to say she believes Harris will “protect this for us,” adding, “I believe in the need for legal protections that protect the LGBTQ+ community as a gay woman.”

“We need protection in this country and access to the care we need and deserve.

This is the first time Moretz has spoken publicly about her sexuality, but she has been romantically linked to model Kate Harrison since 2018 after they were pictured kissing in Malibu, California.

Earlier this year, she posted a video of herself and Harrison at a wedding together. Harrison also shared a photo of himself with Moretz at the “NYC Dyke March” in June 2023.

In 2018, Moretz starred in the indie drama The Malformation of Cameron Post about a young woman who undergoes gay conversion therapy.

In conversation with The Independent While promoting the film, Moretz said, “'I don't see myself as a homosexual, I don't see myself as anything.' These are all social constraints that we are labeled as. We are all human and we try to be with the people we fall in love with and be the best person we can be. But don't assume people's sexuality. And don't project your own problems onto her. Why don’t we let people be who they want to be?”
