'SNL' Weekend Update addresses Trump mockery ahead of election

Saturday Night LiveWeekend Update had some final pre-election thoughts on Donald Trump's rally at Madison Square Garden last week, his photo op with the garbage truck, and more.

“Well, next week America will decide whether the next president is Kamala Harris or whether everyone is there SNL under review,” co-host Colin Jost joked, given Harris made a cameo appearance during that night’s cold open.

Jost then poked fun at Trump's garbage truck photo op, in which he looked particularly orange while wearing a matching safety vest.

“Trump, seen here being rescued in a lifeboat after 30 days, held a press conference from a garbage truck with his name on it. And my favorite part was when he tried to open the door of the truck and missed,” Jost said, laughing loudly this clumsy mishap played. “My God, he looks as drunk as I did on Tuesday night.”

“Then later at a rally, Trump said he would protect women whether women like it or not,” Jost continued. “For example, he will require anyone who poses a danger to women to wear an orange vest.”

After Jost addressed Trump's strange, suggestive interaction with a microphone at the same rally, co-host Michael Che flip-flopped on the racial slurs uttered at the GOP candidate's rally at Madison Square Garden last weekend.

“Speakers insulted minority groups, used Nazi rhetoric and suggested slaughtering Democrats. But that lady has a funny laugh so I still can't decide,” he joked as a photo of Kamala Harris appeared on the screen.

“Donald Trump defended himself against claims that he was a fascist by saying, 'I am the opposite of a Nazi,'” Che continued. “Yeah, but opposites attract, so…”
